China welcomes US-Iran agreement to end conflict
Investing.com -- China welcomed the agreement between the United States and Iran to end their conflict and expressed hope the deal will be signed as scheduled, foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday.
Lin made the remarks during a regular press briefing, stating China's support for the memorandum of understanding reached between the two nations.
The spokesperson said China hopes all relevant parties will remain committed to peaceful resolution through dialogue and negotiations. Lin added that China aims to work with the international community toward early restoration of peace.
The foreign ministry official emphasized that reopening the Strait of Hormuz serves the common interest of the international community. Lin said China hopes safe and free passage through the strait will be restored as soon as possible.
