Investing.com -- China's industry ministry issued a security alert on Thursday regarding the open-source AI agent OpenClaw, warning that improper deployment could leave systems vulnerable to cyberattacks and data leaks.
The ministry's monitoring detected "high security risks" in some OpenClaw deployments, particularly those using default settings or poor configurations.
OpenClaw, previously known as Clawdbot or Moltbot, is an open-source AI agent that combines large language models with multi-channel communication capabilities. The technology allows users to create customizable AI assistants featuring persistent memory and autonomous execution functions.
