China and US agree to extend trade tariff truce, says Li

Investing.com -- China and the United States have agreed to extend their tariff truce, according to China’s Vice Minister of Commerce Li Chenggang.

Li made the announcement during a briefing in Stockholm on Tuesday following trade talks between the two economic powers.

During the briefing, Li described the discussions as "candid" and "in-depth," noting that both nations are aware of the importance of safeguarding sound trade relations.

The Chinese official also stated that the two countries exchanged views on macroeconomic issues during their talks.

Li indicated that China and the United States will continue close communication following this agreement to extend the trade truce.
