Investing.com -- Brookfield Asset Management’s (TSX: BAM) North American natural gas storage platform, Rockpoint Gas Storage, is considering an initial public offering in Canada, Bloomberg reports.
Royal Bank of Canada and JPMorgan Chase&Co. are working on the potential share sale, which could take place as early as September, according to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified.
The deliberations are ongoing, and details of the offering could change. Additional banks might join the lineup for the IPO.
Rockpoint is the largest independent owner and operator of natural gas storage in North America. The company operates six facilities with 280 billion cubic feet of working gas capacity. Its assets focus on sustaining gas transmission and midstream operations across utilities, transport, energy, and data infrastructure sectors.
