Boeing wins defense contracts worth $41.5m for aircraft support
Investing.com -- Boeing Co. secured two defense contracts with a combined value of $41.5 million, the U.S. Department of War announced Monday.
The company received an $11.8 million modification to an existing cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for support services related to Kuwait's F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircraft. The six-month extension covers logistics, management, and maintenance support before the aircraft are transported to Kuwait. Services include general logistics, aircraft pilot and maintenance support, aircraft and equipment logistics, engine support, and ferry support, including packaging, handling, storage, and transportation.
Work under this contract will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana (70%) and Jacksonville, Florida (30%), with completion expected in March 2027. The contract will be funded through Foreign Military Sales customer funds. Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland, awarded the modification, which was not competitively procured.
Bell Boeing Joint Project Office in Amarillo, Texas, received a separate $29.7 million cost-plus-fixed-fee order for loads and dynamics model data covering all V-22 variants. The technical data will support future sustainment decisions, mishap investigations, transition to post-production sustainment, and Fleet Support Team repair and maintenance of V-22 aircraft.
This work will be performed in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania (60%), Fort Worth, Texas (30%), and Amarillo, Texas (10%), with completion scheduled for March 2030. The order will be funded using fiscal 2025 procurement funds totaling $10.3 million and fiscal 2026 procurement funds of $19.4 million. Naval Air Systems Command also awarded this order without competitive procurement.
