Boeing wins $13.4 billion contract modification from US military

Investing.com -- The U.S. Department of War awarded Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) a $13.4 billion ceiling modification to an existing contract on Friday. The modification expands the contract to include Foreign Military Sales work.
The modification raises the total contract ceiling to $19.1 billion from $5.7 billion. Boeing received the original contract in 2019 under designation FA8609-19-D-0007.
Work under the contract will take place in Seattle, Washington. The Department of War expects completion by April 28, 2035.
The contract includes Foreign Military Sales to Japan and Israel. The agreement will also cover future country partners, according to the announcement.
No funds are being allocated at the time of the award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio serves as the contracting activity.
