Boeing awarded $104 million contract for F/A-18 cockpit display repairs

Investing.com -- Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) has secured a $104.4 million contract from the U.S. Department of War to repair cockpit display systems for military aircraft.

The ceiling-priced delivery order was awarded under a previously established basic ordering agreement for repairs to large area displays and low profile head-up displays used in the advanced cockpit systems of F/A-18 E/F and EA-18G aircraft.

The work will be performed across three locations, with 70% taking place in Fort Worth, Texas, 20% in Talladega, Alabama, and 10% at Boeing's facilities in St. Louis, Missouri. The project is scheduled for completion by April 2028.

The U.S. government has already obligated $53.2 million at the time of the award as an undefinitized contract action. This funding comes from fiscal 2026 Navy working capital, fiscal 2025 Navy aircraft procurement, and fiscal 2024 Air Force procurement funds.

The contract was awarded as a sole-source requirement under the authority of 10 U.S. Code 3204(a)(1), with Boeing being the only company solicited and the only offer received.

Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is serving as the contracting activity for this military aviation maintenance project.
