Investing.com -- Bloom Energy Corp (NYSE: BE) reported fourth-quarter earnings that significantly exceeded analyst expectations, driving shares up 10.5% in after-hours trading Thursday as investors cheered both the company's current performance and ambitious outlook for 2026.

The power generation technology company posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.45 for the fourth quarter, handily beating the analyst consensus of $0.30. Revenue surged to $777.7 million, representing a 35.9% increase YoY and substantially exceeding Wall Street's estimate of $640.07 million.

Bloom Energy's stock jump reflects investor enthusiasm for the company's robust financial performance and particularly strong guidance. The company forecasts fiscal 2026 revenue between $3.1-3.3 billion, well above analyst expectations of $2.577 billion. Similarly, its projected adjusted EPS of $1.33-1.48 for 2026 surpasses the consensus estimate of $1.12.

"Bring-your-own-power has shifted from a slogan to a business necessity for AI hyperscalers and manufacturing facilities. This shift is secular and growing," said KR Sridhar, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Bloom Energy.

The company reported a non-GAAP gross margin of 31.9% for the quarter, though this represented a 7.4 percentage point decrease from the same period last year. For the full year 2025, Bloom Energy achieved record revenue of $2.02 billion, a 37.3% increase compared to 2024.

Notably, Bloom's product backlog grew approximately 2.5 times YoY to around $6 billion, with total current backlog reaching approximately $20 billion, indicating strong future demand for its energy solutions.

"Fourth quarter reflects the progress we are making on the fundamentals—reducing product cost, driving operating leverage, and executing with discipline and consistency," said Maciej Kurzymski, Chief Accounting Officer and Principal Financial Officer.

The company also highlighted that all product shipments are now 800V DC ready, positioning Bloom for continued growth in the AI data center industry, which has become a significant revenue driver.
