Autodesk shares rise 7% after Q4 and outlook beat
Investing.com -- Autodesk reported fourth quarter results that beat expectations and issued fiscal 2027 guidance above consensus, sending shares up 7% in extended trading.
The company posted adjusted earnings per share of $2.85, ahead of analysts’ estimates of $2.64. Revenue rose 19% year over year to $1.96 billion, topping consensus expectations of $1.91 billion.
Autodesk forecast EPS of $12.29 to $12.56 for fiscal 2027, comfortably beating the consensus estimates of $11.65. It projected revenue of $8.48 billion to $8.58 billion, above expectations of $7.97 billion.
Chief Executive Andrew Anagnost said the company has been preparing for cloud and AI capabilities for more than a decade and is building a platform to scale and monetize AI across its offerings.
Chief Financial Officer Janesh Moorjani said the quarter was driven by strength in architecture, engineering, construction and operations, particularly in construction and emerging markets. He added that enterprise business agreements, subscription billings and upfront revenue exceeded expectations.
Autodesk said its fiscal 2027 outlook assumes underlying business momentum remains strong, while incorporating caution around temporary risks to billings and revenue as it implements a sales optimization plan.
