Anthropic in talks with EU Commission on AI models
Investing.com -- U.S. artificial intelligence company Anthropic is in discussions with the European Commission regarding its various models, including cybersecurity offerings that have not yet launched in the EU, the Commission said Friday.
Commission spokesman Thomas Regnier told reporters in Brussels that Anthropic has committed to comply with the European Union's general purpose artificial intelligence code of practice.
Under this framework, companies must assess and mitigate potential risks from services that may or may not be offered in Europe, Regnier said.
The discussions come as the EU works to regulate AI technologies through its code of practice, which requires companies to evaluate risks associated with their AI systems before deployment in European markets.
