Investing.com -- A 4.6-magnitude aftershock struck north of Caracas early Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The tremor occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.

No immediate damage was reported from the aftershock, according to Jorge Rodriguez, president of the National Assembly.

The aftershock follows twin earthquakes that hit Venezuela on Wednesday, leaving close to 1,500 people dead, Rodriguez said on social media.

The U.S., Argentina, and El Salvador are among the countries that have sent humanitarian assistance to Venezuela following the earthquakes.
