3D Systems secures major dental contract, unveils tech innovations

Investing.com - 3D Systems Corporation (NYSE: DDD) rallied 18.5% in Tuesday's after-hours trade, after the company announced an ambitious roadmap to expand its dental technologies portfolio, aiming to lead in a market projected to be worth over $14 billion by 2032.
The company also disclosed its largest contract to date, estimated to be worth nearly $250 million over five years. This contract will support the indirect manufacturing process for clear aligners.
3D Systems is planning commercial launches of direct printing technology for clear aligners by late 2025. It's also expanding into night guards, used for preventing teeth grinding and treating sleep disorders. Additionally, the company is seeking regulatory approval for its unique multi-material, single-piece dentures.
