lululemon athletics, inc. (Nasdaq: LULU) ended the session up almost 2 percent Monday following an update on its corporate blog that luon black pants were back in stock.
lululemon said it "added tighter new standards and specifications to our testing and development" and the pants "go through about 15 tests" for coverage.
University scientists were also tapped by lululemon to help develop a "sheer-o-[meter]" which "measures the amount of light coming through the fabric while being stretched at varying degrees."
Luon fabrics were also re-engineered "to minimize the stretching of the fabric," said the company.
lululemon's update comes following a fallout last March as the bottoms were a little too sheer for most. The stock dropped about 12 percent on the subsequent sessions, though company executives vowed to fix the problem as soon as possible.
