iPad 2 is About to Blow Your Mind Again (AAPL)

If you're an investor in a company like Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) or Sony (NYSE: SNE) and think Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) will never set it's sights on the neatly-kept gaming market, think again...

The iPad 2 could soon replace video game consoles. Seriously.

Friday morning, toucharcade.com, a blog dedicated to iPhone and other Apple devices, posted an article showing Firemint's Real Racing 2 HD playing in full 1080p, on a large TV, without needing to rescale.

The tablet was being held by the player and used as a steering wheel. The only thing visible on the iPad screen was a map and the current race time (as far as we could tell).

Users who don't have one already will have to purchase a $39 AV adapter for their iPad. Real Racing 2 HD will then run 30 frames-per-second without rescaling of any sort, meaning that there will be no lag on your HDTV.

How much will Real Racing 2 HD run you? A steep $9.99. Now that's a bargain.
