Zynga (ZNGA) Receives Favorable Verdict in Texas Patent Suit

Zynga (Nasdaq: ZNGA) is trading higher today following a favorable lawsuit verdict.

According to Bloomberg, a federal Jury in Marshall, Texas, decided that Zynga didn't infringe on two patents owned by Personalized Media Communications. The patents in question centered around signals embedded in electronic media which allowed for personalized displays.

Zynga games potentially at risk with the suit included FarmVille and Words with Friends.

Shares of Zynga are up 2.4 percent.
