Yahoo (Nasdaq: YHOO) is rumored to be acquiring Ebay (Nasdaq: EBAY). The eBay Strategies blog reported that Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and Yahoo are in a bidding war for eBay. Scott Wingo of eBay Strategies said that his source tells him that Yahoo has bid 1.76 shares for ebay ($40-$41) and is expected to win at that price.
Although, the story may not make sense because eBay has a larger market cap than Yahoo, and thus would be quite dilutive to Yahoo shareholders, Scott says he has heard the rumor from a very good source.
