Yahoo! (YHOO) Comes Off Highs As a Deal is Questioned

Shares of Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) are coming off the highs of the morning as a few notable M&A reporters are throwing cold water on the idea that a takeover of the company is imminent.

Both Andrew Ross Sorkin of the New York Times and David Faber of CNBC are now questioning a possible deal.

Late yesterday, the WSJ reported that AOL (NYSE: AOL) is talking with private equity firms about teaming up on a bid.

Sharess of Yahoo are up 9.6%, but were up nearly 20% earlier.
