Yahoo! (YHOO) Acquires First Indian Tech Startup

Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) is said to have made its first Indian tech startup acquisition recently with the purchase of Bangalore-based Bookpad.
According to India's Economic Times, Yahoo! paid $8.3 million for Bookpad, while the Times of India sees the purchase price closer to $15 million.
Bookpad's main product is Docspad, which is said to ease viewing and editing content online. It isn't a customer-facing service; rather, Dospad integrates into apps and services and supports a range of file types from PDF to ODX.
Shares of Yahoo! are lower in early trading Monday.
