Who or what will Google Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) buy with the $4 billion to be raised in an equity offering announced today? That is the question swirling around Wall Street this morning. Some think the company will turn to China buying Sohu.com Inc (Nasdaq: SOHU) or Baidu.com (Nasdaq: BIDU). Some think India, buying a company like Rediff.com India Ltd (Nasdaq: REDF). Other think the company may stick in the US, buying a company like InfoSpace Inc (Nasdaq: INSP), Convera Corporation (Nasdaq: CNVR), MIVA, Inc. (Nasdaq: MIVA) or GuruNet Corporation (Nasdaq: ANSW). Then again, the company may use the money to build infrastructure for VoIP or Wireless initiatives.
