Walt Disney (DIS) Higher Following Strong Q1 Results

Shares of Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS) are up 5% after reporting strong Q1 results.
Walt Disney reported Q1 EPS of $0.63, 11 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.52. Revenues rose 9% for the quarter to $10.45 billion, versus the consensus of $10.04 billion.
Revenue at the Media Networks segment were up 10%, revenues at Parks and Resorts were up 11%, revenues at Studio Entertainment were flat, revenues for Consumer Products were up 29%.
During the first quarter, the Company repurchased 31 million shares for $1.0 billion.
