WSJ's Mossberg Says Apple's (AAPL) iPad Could Be a Laptop Killer

Wall Street Journal Tech columnist Walt Mossberg reviewed the new Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPad and called it is a "robust, general-purpose devise" with the potential to change portable computing as we know it.

Mossberg also said the multitouch user interface threatens the mouse-driven interface.

Downside of the iPad is that it lacks a physical keyboard, a Webcam, USB ports and multitasking, he said.

Mossberg verdict was that, "while it has compromises and drawbacks, the iPad can indeed replace a laptop for most data communication, content consumption and even limited content creation, a lot of the time."
