Verdict Upheld in Sands (LVS), Suen Case; $31M in Interest Added

Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) is up on the session amid an update to its litigation versus Richard Suen.
The AP noted today that a judge in the case upheld a $70 million verdict versus Sands and added $31 million in interest payments. Interest came from a rate of 5.25 percent and as Suen filed the lawsuit back in 2004.
A jury in the case decided earlier in the month that Suen should be compensated for getting Sands an operating license in Macau.
Shares are up about 0.2 percent Wednesday.
