United (UAL) Sees Some 787 Flights Starting Sooner than Expected (BA)

April 8, 2013 3:33 PM EDT
United Continental (NYSE: UAL) expects to start running some flights of its Boeing (NYSE: BA) 787 Dreamliner earlier than expected.

Spokesperson Christen David said the Chicago-based airline said some 787 flights would start May 31st, though no specific flights were named.

United's Houston-Heathrow 787 flight will start on June 10, while the Houston-Denver flight has been pushed back from May 31st to June 5th.

News comes as Boeing is still working with the FAA to gain clearance for its battery fix on the 787, with overall plans to get the aircraft back in operation as soon as possible.

United and Boeing are trading near session highs.
