Notebook and tablet shipments might be waning in recent quarters, but some expect two-in-one PC shipments to see "significant" growth next year.
Digitimes noted that Taiwan supply chain sources believe double-digit growth is in store for 2-in-1 PCs in 2016.
Asustek, Acer, and Lenovo are expected to lead the charge with a slew of new 2-in-1 devices. Benefiting from the shift in demand could be HP, Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT).
While incremental improvements in notebooks haven't been enough to generate renewed demand, larger-sized smartphones have helped to cannibalize tablet sales.
