Twitter (TWTR) Pares Gain Following 'Fake' Bloomberg M&A Story

Shares of Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) surged Tuesday after a fabricated Bloomberg M&A story was passed around on social media. The bogus report, which Bloomberg spokesperson Ty Trippet confirmed was fake, claimed Twitter received a $31 billion buyout offer.
Shares popped up as much as 5 percent to $38.82 today before paring gains.
