Twitter (TWTR) Communications Chief Stricker Steps Down

Twitter's (NYSE: TWTR) head of communications, Gabriel Stricker, is said to have stepped down from the position.
TechCrunch noted Thursday that the move for Stricker comes just three years after joining the company. It wasn't made clear whether he left on his own or was "forced" out.
On the news, Twitter commented,It continues to be essential that we show the world the value of Twitter. Communications is a key component of that, and to help build toward a stronger future, we are looking now to shift our communications strategy and direction. We will be bringing in new leadership, and we thank Gabriel for his contributions.
Stricker is still listed as Chief Communications Officer on Twitter's website.
Shares of Twitter are up 1.3 percent in mid-afternoon trading.
