Donald Trump is said to want former Goldman Sachs banker Steve Mnuchin for U.S. Treasury Secretary.
Fortune reported the news mid-morning on Tuesday, citing hedge funder Anthony Scaramucci on the news.
Mnuchin spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) and was a prominent donor to Hillary Clinton. He was also chairman at OneWest Bank Group for a time, which was later bought by CIT.
Mnuchin joined the Trump camp this year as national finance chairman.
