Shares of Transocean Ltd. (NYSE: RIG) are higher in early trading after comments from the billionaire founder of rival Seadrill Ltd, John Fredriksen, suggesting his company could look at a potential acquisition of the company.
In an interview with Oslo today Fredriksen said, "Transocean is reasonable these days" and "we're looking at everything that is reasonable."
Shares of RIG are up 3 percent to $52.40.
