Today, the WSJ said maybe it's time for AT&T (NYSE: T) to possibly reconsider another look at Echostar (Nasdaq: DISH). The EchoStar spin off yesterday, cleared one more obstacle for AT&T to take a look at Echostar.
Below is an excerpt from the WSJ column:
"Should AT&T have discussed such a deal with EchoStar before the spinoff, it could have triggered a hefty tax payment; also, the spinoff of EchoStar’s technology and satellite-infrastructure assets leaves the company with only the part that AT&T really wants: EchoStar’s satellite-TV-service business."
