Along with an updated Model S, Tesla Motors (TSLA) is said to have released a lower-cost version of its wall charger on Tuesday.
Electrek.co noted that the starting price for Tesla's Wall Connector with 8.5' Cable dropped in price from $750 down to $500. The Wall Connector also includes a "power sharing" function.
The Power sharing feature allows a single circuit breaker to be connected and shared, servicing up to 4 Wall Connectors - an optimized solution for customers with multiple Tesla vehicles,
according to the company's website.
Notably, the Model S update from Tuesday also increased the car's standard on-board charger by 20 percent from 40 to 48 amps.
Shares of Tesla are positive in early trading.
