While some residents of cold-weather areas may stil be a little apprehensive about getting a Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) Model S over potential range anxiety, there's really no question that the car can be good on snowy/icy roads.
The following video was posted to a Tesla forum on Wednesday. With it, the poster said he was driving a Model S 85D with base wheels and Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 (non-studded) in 245-45-19 tires. The tires were also inflate to 50 psi (normally, passenger cars require 32 psi).
The video also shows whether or not range mode and slip start are on or off.
Notably, the D-series Model S (which is all Tesla produces at this point) is also equipped with all-wheel drive.
