Teradata (NYSE: TDC) has been seeing some pressure this afternoon with shares down nearly 3.5 percent on the session today.
Earlier, Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN) announced a limited preview of Amazon Redshift, which is a "fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehouse service in the cloud," according to the release.
Amazon said pricing for Redshift was under $1,000 per terabyte per year, "one tenth the price of most data warehousing solutions available to customers today." Again, Amazon's word.
