Target (TGT) Joins $50 iPhone 5c Club (AAPL) (WMT) (BBY)

Target (NYSE: TGT) may be looking to get into the iPhone 5c discounting game.

CNET notes that Target will begin offering the 5c for $49.99 starting Sunday. The price would be made through Target Mobile centers and it wasn't made clear whether it would be a straight discount or pay-full-price-then-receive-a-giftcard discount.

Target joins the rank-and-file along names like Wal-mart (NYSE: WMT) and RadioShack (NYSE: RSH), which have also priced the 5c around $50.

Big box giant Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) has also begun accepting trade-ins of smartphones which, if working and undamaged, will garner a $100 discount of Apple's iPhone 5s

Apple is lower at the start Friday.
