According to reports out late Monday, T-Mobile USA will be discussing Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone during its "Uncarrier" event on Tuesday.
CNET said the device will play a "prominent" role during the event.
The iPhone will be a key device for T-Mobile, which is looking to not only make the argument that pay-as-you-go plans are on par, if not better, than contracts, and also clip subscriber losses to lack of big-name offerings.
In addition, the iPhone will be able to show-off all the investment T-Mobile has made in expanding its 4G LTE network. BlackBerry's (Nasdaq: BBRY) Z10 is expected to launch tomorrow, as is Samsung's Galaxy Note 2.
Shares of Apple are flat in after-hours trading.
