SunEdison (NYSE: SUNE) is said to have cut orders with Taiwan-based solar suppliers.
Digitimes noted that the move might stem from a recent 15 percent downsize to SunEdison's headcount along with a 20 percent lower PV installation capacity target for 2016.
The Taiwan suppliers said that SunEdison's cut will not have a great impact given a ramp in orders from other companies.
Shares of SunEdison are up nearly 2 percent Friday afternoon on light volume.
