SunEdison's (SUNE) India Strategy Largely Unchanged Amid Bankruptcy

Following up on recent reports surrounding the matter, SunEdison (NYSE: SUNE) is said to be planning on pushing ahead with solar projects in India.

According to Bloomberg, SunEdison will look at partnerships for equity on projects.

Pashupathy Gopalan, SunEdison's Asia-Pacific President, commented, Everyone in India has been partnering for equity ... We didn’t do that in the past, so now we have to do that. We have to learn from our peers and do what others have already done The Indian business will continue on its normal course ... We will continue to build and develop and take our India business forward

SunEdison currently has about 550-MW of projects under construction in India, which is part of a 1.7-GW project pipeline for the company. India was said to have 5.25-GW of installed solar capacity as of last January.
