Stem cells stocks have been moving higher ahead of the Presidential election tomorrow. With an expected Obama win, coupled with the Democratic control of Congress, many expect more initiatives to expand govenment funding of stem cell research. There is also a vote on embryonic stem cell research in Michigan.
Stem cell stocks:
StemCells Inc (Nasdaq: STEM) up 43% today and up 100% in the last 5 days.
Geron Corporation (Nasdaq: GERN) up 12% today and up 59% in the last 5 days.
Aastrom Biosciences Inc (Nasdaq: ASTM) is up 45% today and up 71% in the last 5 days.
