At the JPMorgan home-building conference today, Standard Pacific (NYSE: SPF) CEO Stephen Scarborough disputed market rumors his company will file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Scarborough said he thinks the worst is behind the company and they plan to work with their banks and preserve cash.
Standard Pacific, which has a concentration in California, has seen its stock drop 90% this year.
