Sony (SNE) Unveils Lineup of Google TV (GOOG) Sets

Sony Corp. (NYSE: SNE) and Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) announced Tuesday the line up of "Sony Internet TVs with Google TV" along with a BluRay player.

The TVs will start at $599 and go up to $1399 and coming 24, 32, 40 and 46 inch varieties. The standalone BluRay player will retail at launch for $399.

The TVs will be available this week from the Sony Store with the BluRay player coming a week later.

All of the devices will come with the unique remote that features a full Qwerty keyboard for a typing experience similar to a smartphone. Also, an application will be available for Android based smartphone to operate as a remote control.

"Sony Internet TVs with Google TV" will compete with the myriad of Internet ready TVs coming from companies such as Panasonic (NYSE: PC) and Samsung, as well as the updated version of Apple Inc.'s (NASDAQ: AAPL) Apple TV.
