Sony (SNE) Plans to Release 'The Interview' on Christmas Day

Sony (NYSE: SNE) plans to release The Interview in theaters on Christmas Day, according to various reports.

The company recently pulled the movie following hacks and threats, which the U.S. government has identified as North Korea.

So far, it doesn't appear that any of the major theaters are hopping on the bandwagon. Those theaters include: Regal Entertainment (NYSE: RGS), AMC Entertainment (NYSE: AMC), Cinemark (NYSE: CNK), Carmike Cinemas (Nasdaq: CKEC), and Cineplex Entertainment.
