Some Facebook (FB) Users Reported Inability to Access Site Tuesday

For half-an-hour Tuesday, the world came to a standstill.
That's because from 6:00 to 6:30pm PDT, Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) went down for some users. It didn't matter whether it was being accessed from a desktop browser or mobile, many users reported having trouble with the site.
AllThingsD received a comment from Facebook, which went like this: "Earlier today, an internal issue in our web infrastructure caused the site to be slow or unavailable for a brief period of time. We resolved the issue quickly, and should now be back to 100%. We apologize for any inconvenience."
The last major downtime experienced by Facebook was last February, when an outage caused sites like CNN.com, MSNBC.com, and others to redirect to Facebook.com if logging in via a Facebook username and password. The same experience wasn't reported this time around.
Investors appear to be relieved by the news, with Facebook trading higher early Wednesday.
