Sirius XM (SIRI) Looks to Raise Prices: The Next Netflix (NFLX)?

September 20, 2011 12:45 PM EDT
Sirius XM (Nasdaq: SIRI) has plans on releasing its next version of services, 2.0 shortly, reports the Trefis.

Trefis believes that its new version will increase its average revenue per user due to increased subscription prices. Currently they calculate a 10 percent upside to its existing price target of $2, but notes that this will only be capable if the increased price doesn't drive away subscribers.

The group is calculating that the average revenue per user may increase from $130 per year from its current estimate of $122 per year. This is an increase on a per month basis from $12.95 to $14.49.
