Has interest in Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) Nexus 7 tablet already waned?
Digitimes says that component makers for the second-generation are worried that orders for fourth-quarter 2013 will be light due to easing demand for the tablet through the third-quarter of 2013.
Orders in the current quarter have been steady as the new Nexus 7 is still relatively new.
Component makers have noted increasing competition as well, not just from more vendors entering the market, but because vendors use that same component makers and can obtain product that is on par with what some of the bigger names are offering.
Outside of competition, Digitimes notes that some consumers have been having problems with the Nexus 7 GPS capability and touch-screen sensitivity.
Shares of Google are lower Wednesday morning.
