Sabre Value Management's Aaron Edelheit Discusses His Investing Strategy
Currently, at the Value Investing Congress, Aaron Edelheit from Sabre Value Management is presenting his favorite stock picks. His fund focuses on 10-15 investments at a time. His returns have averaged mid-teens over the past 7 years.
Edelheit says small cap offers the best performance since 1970. He says small cap has returned 16% a year versus 8-9% of growth categories, large cap value returns are only 11%.
More people don't invest in small cap value because there are times when small caps can be illiquid and volatile.
Sabre's approach is to invest in small cap value that have insider buying, are spin-offs and/or restructuring.
