SIA Reports 14% Increase in January Chip Sales (SMH)
Data from the Semiconductor Industry Association today points to continued growth in the chip sector. According to the SIA, worldwide sales in January increased 14%, from $22.4 billion to $25.5 billion.
Sales in the Americas saw the biggest jump, up 24.5% to $4.70 billion. Asia Pacific kept the lead with $13.68 billion in sales.
