Research In Motion (RIMM) Sees Volatile Trading On Analyst Day

After trading lower earlier, as the company hosted a 2010 Capital Markets Day at WES 2010, shares of Research In Motion Ltd. (Nasdaq: RIMM) turned higher mid-day.

At the event the company introduced a new BlackBerry Bold 9650 and new BlackBerry Pearl 3G. The company also introduced BlackBerry Mobile Voice System 5 with voice over Wi-Fi Calling.

Possibly more important, co-CEO Mike Lazaridis said the company will launch its new operating system and Web browser next quarter.

The company also said China will account for a larger share of revenue this year and said ASP on the new devices will move up.

Shares of RIM are up 0.7 percent to $71.12. They have traded in a range of $64.88-$71.93 today.
