Research In Motion (RIMM) Lower Ahead of Q3 Results
Shares of Research In Motion Ltd. (Nasdaq: RIMM) are down 4% ahead of third quarter results, which are due after the close.
Analysts on average are looking for EPS of $0.83 and revenues of $2.82 billion. Earlier in the month, Research In Motion lowered their third quarter revenue guidance to a range of $2.75-$2.78 billion and EPS guidance to a range of $0.81-$0.83. RIM also said it expects the number of net new BlackBerry subscriber accounts added in the quarter to be approximately 2.6 million, which is lower than the 2.9 million previously forecasted.
Because of the recent update, RIM will likely to report in-line or slightly better results. It will be all about the guidance. If RIM can guide in-line, the stock could fly.
