Research In Motion Ltd. (Nasdaq: RIMM) is trading up 15% after reporting better than expected results.
Research In Motion reported Q4 EPS of $0.90, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.84. Revenue for the quarter was $3.46 billion, versus the consensus of $3.40 billion. Sees Q1 sales of $3.3-$3.5 billion, versus the consensus of $3.35 billion and EPS of $0.88-$0.97, versus the consensus of $0.82. Sees Q1 gross margin of 43-44%.
Research In Motion added 3.9 million BlackBerry subscribers in Q4 and sees Q1 subscriber additions of 3.7-3.9 million.
