Realty Income Corp. (NYSE: O) is flat today after dropping 5% yesterday after influential hedge fund manager, Bill Ackman, founder of Pershing Square Capital, made some negative comments at a conference in Dallax, Texas.
At the conference, Ackman said the commercial retail REIT will be negatively impacted by an ailing consumer and said the company's roster of tenants is of questionable quality and very vulnerable to market downturns, according to reports in the New York Post. Ackman is short the stock, or betting against it.
