Qualcomm (QCOM) Plans 1,300+ Job Cuts in San Diego

Qualcomm (Nasdaq: QCOM) is said to be cutting over 1,300 full-time jobs in San Diego, Cali., according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Reports have Qualcomm giving workers 60-days notice as required under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Act (WARN). The final day for workers will be November 20th.
Qualcomm believes the headcount reduction will make up the bulk of cuts in the area that it plans to make under it current restructuring.
Shares of Qualcomm are indicated lower Friday morning.
